5:10 AM (alarm set for 6:00 AM). Because of the turbine noise and low frequency noise I do not need the alarm at home. Sleep was mixed last night. I was only woke up 3 or 4 times by the turbines vs. a typical night of 7 or 8 wake ups. I find it interesting that a woman at Clintonville, WI used the term sleep deprivation because she was woke up several nights by loud sounds that were later diagnosed as a 1.5 earthquake. Sleep deprivation is every night here in the Forward wind factory erected by Invenergy and no one cares. We are expected to endure this.
6:20 AM Wind E, 18.4 rpms. I hear jet noise and thumping and pounding even over the strong wind.
5:25 AM. There was lots of sleep deprivation last night. I was woke up by the turbines at 1:57, 2:03, 3:07, and 5:05. After 5:05 I did not sleep any more.
6:40 AM. Wind W, 18.8 rpms. Loud jet noise. Thumping and pounding from turbines 6 and 73, 3a and 75b. Turbine 75b is about 7/8 mile away. I feel pressure in my lower neck in back. 9:05 PM. Wind NE, 13.4 rpms. Motor grinding noise.
1:30 AM. I just arrived home. Wind SE, 14 MPH, gusts 22 MPH, 19.0 rpms. The turbines are on fire with jets flying over noise. Low flying jets.
6:10 AM. Sleep deprivation continures. I should have slept well after being up for 21 hours. the turbines woke me up at least 4 times in the 4 hours I was in bed.
4:10 PM. Wind SW, 28 MPH, gusts to 34 MPH, 19.4 rpms. Even with the strong wind attempting to cover up the turbine noise I can hear thumping and pounding from the noisy turbines. It has been a nauseating day….literally.
10:10 PM. Wind S, 10 MPH,18.9 rpms. The loud jet noise continues. I hear thumping and pounding in the house.
4:25 PM. Rain. the turbines have been turning between 11 and 12 rpms all day. That is very slow.
7:05 PM Wind NE, 11.0 rpms. Fog and drizzle. The noise is fairly quiet or covered up by the drizzle hitting the trees and ground. The affects are still felt such as a nauseated feeling in my stomach and crackling in my ears.
5:00 AM. It was another night of sleep deprivation. I was woke up a little after the top of each hour. I wanted to get back to sleep as quickly as possible so I did not write the times down. I only remember the first time of 12:07. I feel exhausted with a slight headache.
5:45 AM. Wind S,18.0 rpms. There is either a jet noise or a noise like listening to your heart in a stethoscope everywhere outside. I still feel a little out of balance while outside. In the house I can hear the thumping and pounding in all the rooms.
5:30 PM. We were in Madison today babysitting. I was exhausted from last nights lack of sleep. It was a difficult drive (staying awake). When our grandson took a nap I also took a nap of 1 hour and 15 minutes. 8
8:30 PM Wind S 12.5 rpms. The turbines are turning slow, but still a very audible noise.
9:30 PM Wind S, 15.3 rpms. It is close to a jet noise or a loud motor grinding noise.
5:05 AM. I got to bed late after a long trip. I was woke up at least 5 times in the 4 hours I was in bed. Obviously this is more than once per hour.
7:10 AM. Wind S. 19.0 rpms. I feel exhausted and have a headache.
12:15 PM. Wind S, 18.7 rpms. Turbine 4 sounds like a jet flying over. Turbine 73 and turbine 6 are giving off a loud thumping and pounding noise.
9:10 PM. Wind S, 18.3 rpms. It is just a sickening noise. Literally. The turbines have been fast and furious (noisy) all day. I have felt sick to my stomach all day. I have felt off balance for much of the day. I have felt so very exhausted. I took over and hour nap today.
7:10 AM. (in Missouri) It was a wonderful night of sleep in a Super 8 motel. I had many dreams. I dreamt about my drive here seeing the purple budding trees and rehearsing how I am going to load the trailer. I had other dreams involving lots of people. I woke one time when there was a loud commotion in the hallway. I feel restedJ
12:00 midnight. I just arrived home form Missouri. The noise here is like sitting on the tarmac at a jet airport
5:05 AM. Last night was filled with sleep deprivation. I went to bed hearing the turbines thumping and pounding and woke up hearing the turbines thumping and pounding. I was woke at 1:03, 2:37, 3:17, and 5:05. Those are the wake ups that I wrote down. I wanted desperately to sleep so I did not look at the clock or write down the many other times I was rudely woke up by the turbines. I wanted to sleep because I have a 650 mile ride to Missouri today.
6:10 AM.18.4 rpms. Turbines 4, 6 and 73 and others either sound like a jet flying over or are thumping and pounding.
10:05 PM. I am now in West Plains, MO. It was a difficult ride because of last nights sleep deprivation. I had to eat pretzels to stay awake.
4:42 AM. I was woke up by thumping and pounding noise. I had very restless sleep and numerous wake ups last night. It is Saturday. Maybe in your house you “slept in”? I can’t. I am up. I feel exhausted and have a headache on the right side in back of my lower neck.
6:05 AM.I hear thumping and pounding noise as I write about this noise. Yes, I am in the house.
6:10 AM. Wind S, 14 MPH, 18.6 rpms. There is a loud jet noise from turbines 4 and 73. Turbine 4 is 1560 feet away and turbine 73 is 2480 feet away so you can see a half mile is not a safe set back. Often turbine 6 at approximately ¾ of a mile away is loud and caused more affects than turbines 4 and 73.
8:30 PM. Wind SE, 18.4 rpms. Turbine 4 has sounded like a jet flying over all day and still does. Turbine 73 is thumping and pounding like listening to your heart in a stethoscope. We canned our maple syrup all day today. I was nauseated by the constant jet noise and thumping and pounding.
9:40 PM. the chest pains I am experiencing tonight are the strongest pains in quite some time. I can hear thumping and pounding noise from the turbines while attempting to watch TV.
6:10 AM. I spent the night in Beloit. This is my third time at this house and bed. I woke only one time over night. I had great dreams. They were very active and colorful. I feel rested. I sleep well any place, but at home where our house is surrounded by 400’ tall wind turbines.
6:15 AM. Wind W, 17.9 rpms. Jet noise. I lost 8 pounds while away the past 5 nights. I have noticed in the past that on nights I get restful sleep I lose weight and that when there are nights of sleep deprivation I gain weight. There are many more details to this, however thisis the result.
8:30 PM. Wind S. Turbines are turning slow, however are very audible at 1560”.
(at cabin) 5:00 AM. Wind calm. I slept and dreamt great again last night.
10:30 AM. Wind calm. I just finished collecting sap. There is no noise other than the yelping of sand hill cranes, robins chirping, the pounding beaks of wood peckers, the cooing of morning doves and the soft sounds of other song birds. At home those beautiful sounds are both driven away from or covered up by the wind turbines.
8:45 PM. Wind W. There is a loud jet sound. I just returned home from mapling at the cabin and was rudely greeted by the turbines producing a loud jet noise. How disgusting after 5 peaceful days at the cabin.
4:30 AM. (at cabin) I am up early to begin the day cooking sap. I woke up one time over night due to a cramp in my leg. I do a lot of standing and walking while mapling. I again had a number of dreams that were beautiful, colorful and enjoyable.
5:45 PM. It is so calm and peaceful here at the cabin. I imagine it was that way at home before Invenergy and the PSC of Wisconsin forcibly took that peace from us. I have been here at the cabin now for 4 nights in a row. I feel so much different (better) than at home.
6:30 AM. WOW! It was another great night of sleep at the cabin. I had great dreams lastnight. In some of them I was having conversations with people. My dreams have been taken, forcefully taken, from me at home.
Even if the turbines are shut down for part of a night or are turning slow I do not dream. Do you think that could be affecting my health? Would it affect your health? Do you think being woke up 5 to 8 times a night could be affecting my health? My driving? Do you think that sleep deprivation could cause me to be irritated?
I slept great again last night. It was windy and the howling was head in the cabin, however it had no affect on my sleep. Apparently the wind does not have in it what ever the turbine noise has in IT. Like the night before I had many dreams which were active and exciting.
9:20 PM. It was a breezy day at the cabin. No ill affects I am feeling great. My ears are hissing more. I feel that is because of the lack of turbine noise and what is contained in that noise. The crackling in my left ears is more noticeable too because of the lack of mechanical noise
5:30 AM. (at cabin) I slept through the night. I don’t think I even woke up over night. I am up early to cook maple sap that I collected yesterday into maple syrup. As usual when I am away from the wind industrial park I had luxurious dreams. Luxurious because it is a luxury due to the reality that at home I can not dream as the turbines have taken my dreams away. My dreams here are very active and colorful.
6:35 PM. Even thought it was a breezy day I have a feeling of peace and calmness.
It was a horrible nigh of sleep deprivation. I have 8 times written down. I was woke up by the turbines at 12:03, 1:01, 1:28, 2:22, 3:35, 3:47, 4:09 and 4:48. I did not sleep after 4:48. My eyes are a little blurry and I have a headache. I will mention again that in the past I rarely had a headache. They are getting more numerous the more time in the wind factory goes on. I feel exhausted.
6:10 AM. Wind S, 21 MPH, 18.9 rpms. Turbine 4 is making jet noise while turbine 73 is thumping and pounding. This is loud considering the high wind speed.
11:45 AM. Wind S,12 MPH, 18.2 rpms. Turbine 4 is offering a thumping and pounding noise. Inside the house as I write this I hear thumping and pounding noise.
10:15 PM. Wind S, 15 MPH, 18.9 rpms. Turbine 4 and turbine 73 are making a loud thumping and pounding noise even with the high winds.
10:35 PM. I hear thumping and pounding in the front room, bed room, and family rooms. It really is in every room of the house. it is worse upstairs. The rooms upstairs are better insulated. I feel sick to my stomach.
6:00AM. I woke up later than planned I am used to being woke up so I figured I would be awake long before 6:00 AM. I am ready to begin boiling sap into maple syrup. I think I may have come to one time last night. I had so many dreams. As usual when I am away from the wind factory my dreams are colorful, active and exciting. This makes me wonder what all is happening to my brain and other organs being subjected to whatever noise and vibrations the turbines are emitting.
6:30 AM. (at cabin) Yesterday there was no snow in the woods. This morning there is 4 inches of snow. I slept great. I woke one time overnight. I had exciting dreams filled with color and activity. I have no headache. I do not feel exhausted like I would at home from the turbine driven sleep deprivation.
2:05 PM. I just returned home from our cabin. Wind SW 17;1 rpms. There is a loud jet noise from turbine 4 and 73.
4:50 PM. Wind SW, 18.8 rpms. Loud, loud, loud jet noise from turbine 4 and turbine 73.
5:05 PM. I hear the thumping and pounding noise from turbines as I write this.
6:10 AM Most of the turbines are off or turning slow.
6:10 PM. I have spent the day atthe cabin collecting maple sap. It is calm, peaceful and wonderful. I feel great. I have no head-ache. My ears hiss with the absence of turbine noise. I can hear the semis shifting on the county road a mile away from our cabin.
I was woke by the turbines at least 4 times last night. I was tired from tapping 280 maple trees during the day yesterday. I did not write the times down because I wanted to get back to sleep as quickly as possible with out interruption.
7:10 AM, Wind SE, 16.4 rpms. Jet noise.
10:30 AM, Wind SE, 18.8 rpms. Jet noise continues.
5:05 PM Wind S, 18.8 rpms. There is a loud jet noise all over coming from turbines 4 and 73.
6:10 PM I am in my shop with the radio on and the furnace fan going. I hear the thumping and pounding of the turbines. It is like a car going by with the bass turned low and the volume turned high.
7:50 PM Wind SW, 18.8 rpms. Loud, very loud jet noise from turbines 4 and 73. Turbine 73 is louder even though it is sited 920 feet further away than turbine 4.
8:25 PM. In the house I hear the thumping and pounding noise in every room. Even over the voices on TV.
I was woke up about 5 times last night. I write about 5 times. I find that I estimate some-times I wake up 3 times, but if I write them down it end up being 6 or 7 times.
8:10 PM. Wind NW, 15.2 rpms. Jet noise from turbine 4 and 6. I was at our cabin and just got home. I felt much different there. It was peaceful there. Thte jet noise or drone of large industrial wind turbines was not present. I was relaxed and happy feeling. Being away from the wind factory gives me instant relief.
